T I M // exhibition

Tim Burton in Melbourne. Finally went to the exhibition yesterday.

It was interesting to see the really old stuff (older than a lot of the visitors!.

Like drawings and sketches when he was a teenager and the early movies. - interesting for creative people in particular. 


There are also some dresses and requisites

of his movies (all the actors seem to be quiet short...)and many sculptures (in German there is a difference between Skulptur and Plastik, but I just found this translation...) although I am not sure wether the news ones (for movies like "Nightmare before Christmas") are all done by Tim 
himself.

Favorites:

Vincent - great animated movie with a fantastic narrator


the clock from the insane movie Hansel and Gretel 
(Es heißt Hänsel und Gretel!)
the style is more Alice and Charlie 
than his creepy creatures

Oh, and I forgot:
I met Tim at the opening party. The Asian girl in front
of me went crazy for no reason... than I realized Tim Burton
was standing next to me, like 40 cm away. He always looks like
somebody dragged him on the red carpet and really relaxed and a little bit confused. Love the fact, that everything was so unagitated. The band (really good) was playing. He came walked around a little bit and left again. Thats it.


You never no how a celebrity is like, but he seems to be a nice guy...
