This site helped me when I was searching for an internship - not getting on but finding really great ones.

N A N C Y / Z H A N G // all time favorite

25 YEAR OLD ILLUSTRATOR CONCEPT ART DESIGNER FROM Berlin
An illustrator and a dreamer who loves vintage stuffs, watching movie and listening to 70s rock music. childish, sensitive. Favorite movie:"El Espíritu de la colmena","Blow Up"and all of Kubrick's works

Another interesting and massively productive Lookbooker! Her looks are completed by great selfmade illustrations. She also writes her own blog... about fashion and illustration. First time I took notice of her was when I found the "mushroom" look.

Lookbook site here...

// LookBook //

Decided that it is rather a great peace than the look of the day.
Mag die Idee sich ein lätzchen umzuhängen und dabei gut auszusehen...

// Like the idea of putting on a bib and actually look fairly good //

YAEL NAIM / GO TO THE RIVER

Listened to the first song of the new album several times and decided  that I kind of like it.I think everyone knows her great but over-popular New Soul (MacBookAir commercial).

Beside that she made some great covers (Toxic) and of course own songs - some in Hebrew.

(Sorry, I will not publish songs via blogger player until I haven't found out how to change the alignment)

OUR DARK

AJ Abualrub/Ahmad Jalal by Eli Schmidt

Normally like his platinum blond hair better, but it is
for sure the right colour for this shoot.

ISAAC WEBER
Reminds me a little bit at Nicholas Hoult...
Unfortunately I couldn't found out the name of the photographer...
good job anyway.

B R A I N S & M U S I C // interview

INTERVIEW WITH
PHARRELL & DR. RAMACHANDRAN

Very interesting interview about neuroscience,
music and - of course - live in general.

With neuroscientist and psychologist Dr. V.S. Ramachandra and Pharrell Williams,
who obviously does a lot of other stuff beside being a musisan...

What I learned:

1. jigsaw = stichsäge - so the name jigsaw is not just
about the sick saw thing in the first movie, but also related
to the jigsaw puzzle piece he used to cut of the people...

2. N.E.R.D = "No one ever really dies" This part
of the interview made me a little bit more optimistic about life.

Sounds a little bit limited... of course there is a lot of other interesting stuff. Sneak a peek here...

Florian Kremb

Found while searching for design agencies - actually I should post some of the great designers I found... someday...  But here the chair. Pretty simple. I like it.

R A M Ó N / M I R Ó N // find of the day

My French is not good enough to understand the Spanish on his site - but who cares. I love the handling of images and the layout. And a big picture is so much better than a written header. Damn, but I haven't found the right one yet...

Ramón Mirón also supplies the look of the day.

I'm a little bit scared. He has too much
from every thing - right enough to be a model

"Comptine D'un Autre Été: L'après Midi"
Yann Tiersen // Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain

Yesterday somebody reminded me of the song.
Great movie, great soundtrack, great song.

Listen to the song here...
(Couldn't find a really good video, but this maybe the less distractive...)

PERFUME ALL OVER
While working on some kind of building site
I noticed that at least some of the people were not just dressed better than I would expect
but actually also smelled way better.(And not just students who earned some extra money.)

In Australia working hard is obviously no general excuse to let oneself go...

Just have to get used to the shoes. And I am not sure if not sometimes it is like:
Man make clothes. A ugly person would have probably looked like shit...

A B O U T T I M E!

// The Federal Constitutional Court (Germany) declared that the regulation of the custody for unmarried fathers is unconstitutional.

Wurde aber auch Zeit, dass sich da mal was ändert. Männer sollten genauso das Recht haben, wie Frauen,  als Alleinerziehende zu scheitern, oder eben auch nicht.

//About time: Men should have the same opportunities to mess up as single-parents.

I N T E R V I E W  -  B E T T E R   T H A N   E X P E C T E D

I know it’s a little bit older, but at least on the occasion of “Eclipse”
kind of passably:

Kirsten Stewart interviewed by Dennis Hopper (and Galen Hopper) for Interview. I am still undecided what to think about Kirsten but at least you should see her body of work + herself besides this huge “Twilight Thing” like “Panic Room”. No matter wether she is a good or bad actress I like her kind of awkward and fractious appearance independent of how real or fake it is. Ein sperriges Etwas, dass sich irgendwann mal auf dem Roten Teppich verhakt hat.

The interview was way better than I thought and I buy the “Actually-I-am-totally-different-speech” rather from here than from Megan Fox. Unfortunately just an excerpt is available online.

Best part: “Wow, that made me so nervous!”

In celebration of Interview’s 40th anniversary, we askedactor, director, writer, and photographer Dennis Hopper—whose connection to the magazine reaches across all fourdecades—to handle the interviewing duties for this cover story. He graciously obliged. He spoke to Stewart, who was shooting Eclipse in Vancouver, from the set of his cable series,Crash, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
DENNIS HOPPER: Before we start, I have a little six-year-old daughter here who’s going crazy right now because you’re on the phone. Could I just put her on for a second to say hello?
KRISTEN STEWART: Yeah, sure.
HOPPER: Okay, her name is Galen. [hands phone]
GALEN HOPPER: Hi!
STEWART: Hi! How are you?
GALEN: Good.
STEWART: It’s really nice to meet you, Galen. [pause] Hello?
GALEN: Hi!
HOPPER: [takes phone] She’s so excited.
STEWART: Wow, that made me so nervous! (...)
